We here at mjrtumblers.com get this question all the time. I get my stones very smooth and they are shinny when wet but when they dry they turn somewhat hazy. Here is a tip that may fix your problem. Try Burnishing your stones after your final polishing stage. Use approximately 1 table spoon of Burnishing media per pound of stones. Add your stones to your barrel making sure its 3/4 full. If you do not have enough stones to fill your barrel 3/4 full we suggest using plastic pellets to take up the missing volume. Then add your Burnishing media and enough water to just cover the material in the barrel. It may take a few days or up to two weeks but you will be very pleased with the final results.
