This is the larger of the two pulleys on your base unit. There are two different sizes, one for a large base unit which has a 1/2" bore hole in the center for the 1/2" drive rod.
The second pulley is for the small base unit which has a 3/8" hole in the center for a 3/8" drive rod.
How much is in each grit kit?
The rule of thumb is 1oz of grit per pound of rocks you're going to polish for step 1 and step 2 and 1/2oz per pound for step 3 and step 4.
For example: A 30 pound grit kit doesn't not mean 30 pounds of grit. That would be 30oz of step 1, 30oz of step 2 and 15oz of step 3 and 15oz of step 4.
